How is the distance between two IPs calculated?
Each IP address is first resolved to a latitude and longitude using the FreeIPAPI geolocation database. The tool then computes the great-circle distance between the two coordinates using the haversine formula, returning the result in both kilometers and miles. Because IP geolocation is approximate, the distance is an estimate based on the registered location of each address.
